Affiliating with the Zung Jung Movement
In order to affiliate with ZJM an organization must contact ZJM and agree to the following:
- Publicly support the advancement of Zung Jung.
- Hosts recurring Zung Jung play.
- Uses Zung Jung in a visible, consistent capacity, e.g., introductory format, featured format, or dedicated events.
- Agrees not to misrepresent ZJM rules.
Affiliating with ZJM confers on organizations:
- Authorization to use the ZJM name and marks.
- Ability to have ZJM sanction a competitive event (see Tournament Rules).
- Recognition of results as official.
- Inclusion in the ZJM affiliated Organizations registry.
- Inclusion in the ZJM event registry.
- Eligibility for ranking systems (if/when implemented).
- Eligibility for qualification pathways (if applicable).
When contacting ZJM regarding affiliation please include:
- Name of your organization
- Location of your organization
- Organization’s internet presence (website, discord, social media, etc)
- Affirmation of agreement to ZJM principles
- How your organization uses Zung Jung
- Logo of your organization (if any)
- A brief description of your organization

The founder of the San Diego Mahjong Club, Nathanael J. Reynolds, is also the founder of the Zung Jung Movement and creator of its standards and procedures. The San Diego Mahjong Club (SDMC) is a multi-variant club that focuses on Zung Jung, Riichi, and Mahjong Competition Rules, and uses Zung Jung as its flagship variant for pedagogy and play events.
