Global Standings are powered by Glicko-2 ratings and include all ranked matches recorded through Mahjong Caddie. Tournament matches carry additional weight, rewarding performance in organized competition while allowing regular ranked play to contribute to your global rating.

Mahjong Keeper (ZJM’s backend server) admits a player into the Global Standings board once their rating is settled enough to mean something — an RD of 150 or lower. Position is by a conservative estimate of strength, Rating minus twice RD, so a high rating that is still uncertain does not outrank a lower one that is well established. The rank title shown comes from the actual rating, not that estimate. Official tournament standings use match point calculations, not Glicko-2 to calculate standings.
